Hi I’m Filena! I’m a Toronto-based photographer who loves taking photos of people and capturing memories. Lover of art, fashion and travel, I am never happier than when I am behind the camera.

 

Photography has been a major passion of mine since I first picked up a film camera over 10 years ago. I followed my passion into University and graduated from OCAD University with a Bachelor in Fine Art Photography and a Minor in Communication Design. My style really started to take shape when I began shooting fashion editorials and immersing myself in the entire creative process, from planning shoots to editing the final images. Since then, I have expanded into other areas of photography such as weddings and portraiture while still retaining the style I’ve developed through fashion photography.

 

Whether I am shooting a fashion editorial or a couple’s special day, my focus is always to capture magical moments in the most beautiful manner. My background in fashion photography helps me find the best angles to showcase my client’s true beauty and give their images a stylish editorial feel. In turn, my newfound love for wedding photography has also influenced the romantic narratives behind my fashion images.
